This is your opportunity to help educate young adults about the careers available in construction, professional, technical, and skilled trades.
Industry leaders from unions, educational institutions, construction companies, and associations have provided students for over 20 years with interactive, hands-on experiences and demonstrations so we can attract motivated, quality Rochester area youth to construction and related careers.
We cannot do this without your help! We are asking you to provide personnel from your organization, as well as an activity that will allow the students a hands-on experience. It is our hope the students will have the opportunity to gain an overview of how the industry works by speaking with exhibitors about their chosen trade and by experiencing the technology that makes it all happen through hands-on activities. At the 2018 event, students were introduced to: heavy equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, architecture, engineering, CADD, plumbing, welding, framing, carpentry, pipe-fitting, landscaping, masonry, tiling, and more. This year, the Career Day tradition will again provide students with an informative and fun introduction to the many different career opportunities in construction.
